100 HIGHEST PAID CELEBRITIES IN THE WORLD

Over the past 12 months, the world's 100 highest-paid celebrities pulled in $5.15 billion--more than the combined GDP of Belize, Liberia and Gambia--led by Diddy, who clocked a career-best $130 million. BeyoncĂ© and J.K. Rowling round out the top three with $105 million and $95 million, respectively.
Though Diddy's payday mostly came from the sale of a large chunk of Sean John clothing equity and his ongoing partnership with Diageo's Ciroc vodka, many of the names on our list are profiting from the emergence of the new entertainment economy. From Spotify to Netflix, streaming platforms are directly enriching stars in a manner that once seemed a distant dream--and indirectly fueling lucrative live shows for the likes of The Weeknd, who appears on the cover of this year's Celebrity 100 issue.
"We live in a world where artists don't really make the money off the music like we did in the Golden Age," he tells FORBES. "It's not really coming in until you hit the stage."
Below is a full listing of this year's Celebrity 100 (full coverage here), which ranks the top-earning front-of-camera entertainers on the planet by pretax income from June 1, 2016 through June 1, 2017. Fees for agents, managers and lawyers are not deducted. Estimates are based on figures from Nielsen, NPD Bookscan, Pollstar, Box Office Mojo, Songkick, D'Marie and IMDB, as well as interviews with industry insiders and sometime of the stars themselves.

30 HIGHEST EARNING ACTORS IN THE WORLD AND THEIR EARNINGS

The top 10 actors banked a cumulative $488.5 million--nearly three times the $172.5 million combined total of the 10 top-earning women. While only three actresses made more than $20 million in 12 months, 16 actors broached the mark.
This pay disparity is due, in part, to roles: There are simply fewer main female characters in the superhero movies and blockbusters that pay the sizeable backend profits that result in leading men's large paydays, or the franchise sequels that permit aggressive negotiation for future installments. According to a 2016 study, women comprise just 28.7% of all speaking roles in movies.
In order to visualize the difference in paychecks, we combined our lists of highest-paid actors and actresses. Emma Stone, who was this year's top-ranked actress, lands at No. 15 when stacked up with the men. Mark Wahlberg, the highest-paid actor, made more than 2.5 times her $26 million pretax take-home. Melissa McCarthy, ranked No. 4 among actresses with $18 million, ties for No. 21 with Chris Evans.
Earnings estimates are based on data from Nielsen, ComScore, Box Office Mojo and IMDB, as well as interviews with industry insiders. All figures are pretax and scored between June 1, 2016, and June 1, 2017; fees for agents, managers and lawyers are not deducted.

THIS IS WHY P-Square WILL FIND IT DIFFICULT TO BREAK APART

This group has grown over the years to become a phenomenon in the African Entertainment sphere at large.

Despite their rift that is no longer a news to the entire world, many people find it difficult to believe Psquare (Peter & Paul Okoye)  can go in their different ways for these reasons;

1. They are brothers:
Psquare, which has  Peter and Paul as its members aren't just a boy band or group of friends, these guys are blood brothers. They aren't even just brothers but twins and it even gets better identical twins. After 2001 when they rose to prominence, it took fans years to be able to differentiate both of them. The resemblance isn't just in the physique but even in their voices, Yes! it's that cool. Friends quarrel and go their separate path but twins don't, they fight, settle, but going their separate ways? It just doesn't happen.
2. They are a super brand:
Never in the history of modern music in Nigeria have we had a brand like the Psquare group. These guys represent a talent that is yet to be outshined. Let's look at it this way, in this part of the world, a set of twins is like a prized possession and they bring good luck, so when you have twins making good music, every corporate entity would want to tap into it.
