R KELLY GETS ADDITIONAL 20 YEARS JAIL TERM

Former American recording artiste Robert Sylvester Kelly, professionally known as R. Kelly, has been sentenced to an additional 20 years imprisonment.

The United State District Judge Harry D. Leinenweber sentenced the 56-year-old to 20 years in jail on Thursday after he was found guilty by a jury of child pornography and enticement of a minor.

Kelly, who is already serving a federal 30-year jail term after three counts of production of child pornography and three counts of enticement of a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity in a federal trial in 2022, was found guilty of sexual molestation of a minor.

In the latest guilty verdict, the prosecutions produced concrete video evidence showing the singer sexually abusing his 14-year-old goddaughter.

The U.S. District Judge, handing out the judgement on Thursday, sentenced R. Kelly to 20 years imprisonment, in which 19 of those 20 years would be served concurrently with his earlier sentence instead of the 25 years sentence the prosecutors had demanded. While the remaining year would be served consecutively or after that sentence is completed.

According to the prosecutors, ”Robert Kelly is a serial sexual predator who, over the years, targeted young girls and went to great lengths to conceal his abuse of Jane and other minor victims. Following the jury verdict against him, to this day, Kelly refuses to accept responsibility for his crimes.”

The singer, however, remained silent for almost the entirety of the sentencing hearing and also refused to speak on his behalf.

Don’t Post My Pictures When I Am Dead – Nollywood Actress, Shan George

Piqued by the bad blood and fake friendship running relationships among celebrities in Nigeria, veteran actress and movie producer, Shan George has warned that anyone who failed to celebrate her while alive should not bother posting her pictures when she dies.

In a video shared on Sunday evening, the veteran thespian maintained that it is now common among celebrities to quickly post pictures of their colleagues’ death but would not use the same energy to post their works and achievements while they were alive.

Livid George in the one-minute video added that celebrities would turn blind eye to the struggles of their colleagues but they would be the first set of people to start posting pictures of when the person eventually dies.

“I am making this video to warn anybody that has not supported or cheered or celebrated me for once or posted my work but is waiting till the day I die to start shedding crocodile tears and writing needless captions not to bother.

“If anyone is showing me hate now, such a person should not even bother posting my pictures when I die. I will wake up and pursue anyone who tries that with me. If you don’t show me love now, don’t bother posting my pictures when I am no more,” she added.

“I CAN GO NUDE IN A MOVIE”– Actress Angela Eguavoen

Fast rising Nollywood actress, Angela Eguavoen has revealed she extent she can go to make any movie she’s featured in look real.

The light skinned script interpreter is also of the opinion that an actress’ body is one of the tools by which they portray characters in movies.

“I believe that an actress’ body is a canvas. One should be able to do anything with one’s body, because we are in Nollywood. In Hollywood, a lot of actors go nude in films.

“That is why I said when it is necessary, (I can go nude in a movie). It is not just about going naked in any film, one needs to ask if it will add to the story, or is necessary in portraying a character, so that the story would be well told and not look fake. As an actress, one should be flexible, and the whole of one’s body should be dedicated to the work.”

Asked about the widely held belief that actresses are more financially buoyant than their male counterparts, she said, “No, I don’t think so. As a matter of fact, actors get better pay than actresses. People think actresses are more financially buoyant because they tend to flaunt their newly acquired cars or houses, which some actors don’t do.”

On how she handles male fans who want to get intimate with her, she said, “I will deal with it like a regular guy asking me out. But, I cannot say ‘yes’ to everybody. If I meet a fan who loves me, has the qualities I want in a man and is willing to support my craft, why won’t I give that person a chance?

“But, if that is not the case, and there is no prospect, I will deal with it like a regular guy trying to ‘shoot his shot’.”
