THE SADDEST STORY EVER

This is one of the SADDEST stories ever told in Hollywood. His name is Sylvester Stallone (A.K.A Rambo) as we call him here.
One of the BIGGEST and Most famous American Movie superstars. Back in the day, Stallone was a struggling actor in every definition. At some point, he got so broke that he stole his wife's jewellery and sold it. Things got so bad that he even ended up homeless. Yes, he slept at the New York bus station for 3 days. Unable to pay rent or afford food. His lowest point came when he tried to sell his dog at the liquor store to any
stranger. He didn’t have money to feed the dog anymore. He sold it at $25 only. He says he walked away crying.

Two weeks later, he saw a boxing match between Mohammed Ali and Chuck Wepner and that match gave him the inspiration to write the script for the famous movie, ROCKY. He wrote the
script for 20 hours! He tried to sell it and got an offer for $125,000 for the script. But he had just ONE REQUEST. He wanted to STAR in
the movie. He wanted to be the MAIN ACTOR. Rocky himself. But the studio said NO. They wanted a REAL STAR.

They said he "Looked funny and talked funny". He left with his script. A few weeks later, the studio offered him $250,000 for the script. He refused. They even offered $350,000. He still refused. They wanted his movie. But NOT him. He said NO. He had to be
IN THAT MOVIE.

Patricia Bala (NFVCB boss) must resign over Half Of A Yellow Sun - Segun Arinze

A few weeks ago, the film adaptation of Chimamanda Adichie's book Half of a Yellow Sun was to hit our cinema screens...but it was stopped. I heard the reason it was removed was because of the theme of the movie, the Hausa killing Ibo/biafra war story and because of the current situation in Nigeria, some scenes were asked to be cut from the movie by the Nigeria Film and Video Censors Board. I don't know if the scenes have been cut or what exactly is going on right now, but NFVCB has still refused to let the movie show in the cinemas.

Update on Hollywood Actor who murdered his wife

On Monday night, The Shield actor, Michael Jace, murdered his wife. Police sources have revealed that Michael shot his wife dead in front of their two kids, who are under 10 years old. It's also been revealed that they argued over money before the murder took place at their LA home. But the most astounding revelation since this murder is that the dead wife, April Jace, defended Michael in his divorce from his ex-wife, an ex-wife he allegedly brutally and repeatedly beat up.

TMZ reports;

Michael Jace was a violent, abusive husband who choked his wife in front of their kid … this according to legal docs from his prior divorce in 1997.
A friend of Jennifer Bitterman claims she personally witnessed Jace choking and slamming Jennifer against a wall as his 6month-old son screamed in his crib next to them.
April Jace -- who was killed by a gunshot at the hands of Michael -- got involved in Michael's messy divorce to his previous wife and defended him to the hilt ... even though there were claims of brutality. Continue.
April told the divorce judge that Michael provided a stable home for his child, though she never addressed the claims he choked and hit Jennifer Bitterman and slammed her against the wall in front of their screaming son. In fact April actually attacked Jennifer by calling her a bad mom...

The most bone-chilling thing .... April talked about Michael's son with Jennifer, saying, "Usually at bedtime, he [Jordan, the child] prays for his mom and asks God to protect her while he's not there with her."

And this is interesting  ... April had a degree in Early Childhood/Adolescence development.

The friend says he was raging and out of control and “seeing the extent of his anger was one of the most terrifying things I have ever seen.”

The friend continues … there were multiple physical assaults on the ex-wife. Still April went ahead and married him.

Earlier report
Actor Michael Jace called police himself to report his wife had been shot, and he had pulled the trigger Monday night in Los Angeles… TMZ has learned.

According to law enforcement sources Jace called 911 around 8:30 PM and told police … “I shot my wife.”

We’re told Jace’s neighbors in the Hyde Park area of L.A. had reported shots fired in the home … and shortly thereafter Jace made his call to 911.

Sources tell us the actor stayed on the phone, as instructed, until LAPD arrived and found his 40-year-old wife, April Jace dead.

We’re told Jace was home alone when his wife arrived with their kids … a short time later he allegedly shot her.

Jace — best know as Detective Lowe from “The Shield” — was taken into custody, and as of 1:00 AM Tuesday … was being questioned, but had not been booked for his wife’s death.

I'M NOT A COOKING KIND OF WOMAN - Joke Silva

Recently in an interview with City People magazine, Nollywood screen legend Joke Silva talked about her lack of cooking skills and other ways she takes care of her husband, screen legend, Olu Jacobs..
"I have never lied about this, I have never been 'a doing the cooking kind of woman'. When my husband met me, he knew. He was the one who used to do the cooking because he is good at it. I used to do the cooking when I felt like. Sometimes, it comes out to be a huge success and sometimes a failure. Some years ago, I cooked vegetables and it was terrible and my husband is such a gem, he ate it like that. It is not as if my mum didn't teach me. For my husband, cooking is a therapy and for me it is a chore and yet he will always tell you that I look after him so much, I do that in other ways. We have somebody who does the cooking. I have taught them to cook the way I like and we have people who do the general cleaning."

CHOIRFEST AFRICA

CHOIRFEST AFRICA PRESS CONFERENCE
(Opening Speech by the Visionary Olumide Emmanuel)
May 7th, 2014

Welcome to Choirfest Africa Press Conference and thanks for honouring our invitation. The Choirfest Africa is an initiative of Lifeline Records - A faith-based Record Label established to create a platform for believers to have a voice and produce inspirational music for life.

For decades the Church has lost many of her sons and daughters to the world due to lack of viable platforms to project them. A lack of understanding of the Kingdom has made the Church lose out and lose relevance in the different spheres of life.

·         When we should have taken over in the Media, we called it the devil’s box and today we pay millions to buy airtime from the devil.
·         When we should have taken over in Politics, we called it a dirty game and now it has become too dirty for our prayers to clean up.
·         When we should have taken over in Economy, we said “this world is not our home” and told them to take the whole world and give us Jesus. Now, we realise we need more to live here on earth.
·         When we should have taken over in Entertainment, we called it secular and stayed limited.

Music, movies, fashion etc are messing up the next generation and Lifeline Record is set to make a difference for the Kingdom.

The Choirfest Africa is a Christian Talent Hunt and Reality Show aimed at creating a platform for choirs and groups to have a voice for the Kingdom.

We uniquely settled for choirs and groups because choirs seem to be dying and becoming obscure as against solo showbiz; and when we all get to heaven we will be choir members, so why not keep the fire alive.
·         Every choir or group is expected to register with just N10, 000 and go through the auditions after which the top three will emerge.
·         Registration opens on Monday 19th May 2014 and closes on Friday, 1st August 2014
·         Auditions take place for five Saturdays at the different zones from 16th August to 13th September 2014.
·         Semi-Final will take place on Saturday 27th September, while the final will take place at the National Stadium on Saturday 4th October 2014.
·         The prizes to be won by the top 3 are:
# 1,000,000 plus a One-Track Album
# 500,000 plus a One-Track Album
# 300,000 plus a One-Track Album

All registered choirs will also get consolation prices and a mention in the Choirfest Africa Brochure.

The entire State has been zoned into five to give easy access and options to interested choirs and group.

Zones include: Lekki, Ikorodu, Ikeja, Amuwo and Idimu.

Like you heard during the introduction, I am Olumide Emmanuel the CEO of Common Sense Group and also the Chairman of Lifeline Records but I am not alone on this journey, frontline veterans in the Music Ministry like Broda Martyns, Faith Ajiboye etc are really the one behind the project.

We have invited you here so you can join us to push this vision and create a buzz about this kingdom project.
·         Talk about it
·         Tweet it
·         Blog it
·         Print it
·         Broadcast it
·         Form BB Groups
·         Form Facebook groups
·         Noise it on your different platforms
·         Mention it in every event you are part of etc
·         Do all you can to help make this dream happen for the Kingdom.

We have been church-focused and denominational-focused for decades, and see where it has led us. It is time to become kingdom-minded and do something to make this platform stand.

Thank you for coming and the entire team is ready for any question you have.
Together we can make it happen.
It is well
