US actor Michael Jace
has been arrested for shooting his wife dead at their South Los Angeles home.
According to reports, the actor, best known for his role on The Shield as
Julien Lowe, a gay police officer struggling with his sexual identity, called
911 late last night Monday May 19th and confessed to shooting his wife of nine
years.
When police got to their home at Brynhurst Avenue in Hyde Park, they were met by Michael Jace, 51, and discovered April Jace, 40, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, NBC reports.

April Jace was declared dead by paramedics at the scene. The couple's
two children, both boys under the age of 10, were in the home at the time of
the shooting but LA police said it is unclear whether the boys witnessed the

Hollywood actor Michael Jace has
been charged with homicide after he brutally
shot his wife of ten years (April Jace) at their
Los Angeles home on May 19 in front of his two children.
LA Police Detective, Lyman Doster confirmed to CNN that
investigators arrested the 51 year old actor at their home after he called 911
admitting, "I shot my wife". Lyman also
revealed that neighbours called the police reporting that they heard shots
fired from Michael’s house.
Their two children, both under the age of 10, witnessed the
shooting, TMZ reported,
and were extremely upset and taken into the police station. It took Children’s
Services four hours to get there and take the children to a family member’s
home.
Michael was best known as Julien Lowe, an officer in the FX police drama, The Shield. He starred in 89 episodes from 2002 to
2008.He also appeared on several episodes of Southland, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Private Practice, The Mentalist, Burn Notice and NYPD Blue.
